Message from Lin Allen
Lin Allen has asked us to send her thanks to everyone who wrote to her after Bob’s death. She received over 200 letters and cards, so is not able to respond individually to everyone, but wanted to acknowledge the incredible response.
It is regret that we report the death of Bob Allen, Past President. Bob died last night 18th April about 7pm, in Lancaster Royal Infirmary of pneumonia. Bob had been unwell for a time and was admitted to LRI a few days ago.
We offer our condolences to his wife Lin, family and friends.
The funeral will be on Thursday 10th May at 1pm in Grasmere Church. No flowers please but donations are welcomed for the Air Ambulance or Ambleside Mountain Rescue.
