Tim Noble

Tim’s sudden and untimely death on Sunday 30th November 2014 has left us all in a state of shock and disbelief.

As some of you may know, Tim’s brother has been sailing across the Atlantic as part of the tall ships’ race and will not learn the sad news until he reaches St. Lucia in mid/late December. In light of this, the decision has been made that the funeral will be delayed until the family can be reunited.

The funeral service will be held on Monday 5th January 2015 at 12 noon.  It will take place at Southend Crematorium, Sutton Road, Southend-on-sea, Essex SS2 5PX.

There will be family flowers only; but there will be a collection for the Education Department of the Royal Shakespeare Company whose mission is to work with young people between the ages of 5 and 19 and their teachers; connecting young people with Shakespeare and prioritising those who don’t have easy access to the RSC. Bringing Shakespeare alive for children and young people was a life-long passion and commitment for Tim so this feels a fitting legacy. Donations can be made at the funeral or via Stibbards & Sons, 1032 London Road, Leigh-on-sea, Essex SS9 3ND.

Following the service there will be a small and informal gathering at The Sand Bar restaurant, 71 Broadway, Leigh on Sea, Essex SS9 1PE from approximately 1pm to 3pm.

We do hope as many as possible will be able to celebrate the life of a man whose passion and intellect touched so many people in so many ways.
In order to organise catering, if you are planning to be there, it would be really helpful if you could notify Joanna at alpinist2@sky.com or on 01702 719021.
