1 Thursday 30th November 12.30pm
Bramcote Crematorium
Coventry Lane, Bramcote
Nottingham, NG9 3GJ
I have just received notice that Terry Bolger CC member from 1981 passed away at home in Sandiacre Nottinghamshire on Saturday 4 November 2017.
Terry aka Bolge was a personal friend and a real character in the local climbing scene in Nottingham and elsewhere. An infamous folk singer with a special if not unique deliverance of the folk song – My Brother Silvest.
Will be sadly missed. We offer our condolences to family and friends.
Details of funeral arrangements etc. to be advised in due course.
Rod Hewing
Sorry to jump in Rod, but I understand that Derek, Terry’s brother, has arranged the funeral for 1/12/17 at Bramcote Crematorium and meeting at the Hemlock Stone Pub nearby afterwards.
Thanks Julian
Once details of time etc have been finalised will update this post again
Hope to see you there
Thanks Rod
I’ve just heard this morning that the date has been changed to 30 November, but I will leave it to you to update the details.
It will be good to see you again, albeit on this sad occasion
The wake is to be immediately after the funeral ( 30 November at 12.30pm, Bramcote Crematorium)
two miles away at the:
Festival Inn, Ilkeston Road, Trowell NG9 3PX.
To get there, leave the crematorium and turn left onto the A6002. After half a mile turn left onto A609. Follow this for a mile and a half, going under the M1, and on to the junction with Ilkeston Road. The pub is on this junction on the right. Be warned that both Google maps/Bing maps and some satnavs have the pub’s postcode located about 250 yards further away on Ilkeston Road. Ignore this, the pub is on the road junction.
