Truly well deserved for Ian , As the interview said Ian has put most of is life into climbing and volunteering with his article’s in the magazine’s and his photography.
I remember him back in the 70’s taking over from John Woodhouse [[[Who was Known as the shadow John that is. ]]] following most of the new ascent’s in the Peak and further afield with his 35mm camera, and later with his Mamiya 645 after and now Digital,
Getting involved with Guide book’s all is article’s in the magazine’s the CC journal’s [[[ and editing a lot of editing me too ]]] the BMC work we even let him be the CC president in the middle of the Foot and mouth crisis.
The list of work and his passion go’s on and on to this day.
Well deserved and on behalf of me Thanks but keep the writing, photography,volunteering up, I’m sure he will.
A good job I’ve got spell check on or he would be correcting me again.
