Mobile Guidebook App

Both Android and iPhone Apps are available with considerable new content being added all the time…

You can access the Apps directly on your iOS or Android device via the links we have provided below.

All paid-for guidebook packages are associated with your ID so if you upgrade or loose your device all packages may be restored to your new device. Packages may also be selectively removed, and restored, to your device to save storage space if required.

Technical Requirements

  • An iPhone, iPad, or iPod with iOS 8.0 or later.
  • Android device with version 5.0 or later.
  • An App Store or Google Play account to buy and download content. The App itself is free. It comes with a sample of Climbers’ Club guidebook information.

The Future

Back in 1909, with Lliwedd, the Climbers’ Club published the world’s first “pocket size” climbing guidebook. Today we are helping to usher in a new era in guidebook publication. Imagine, with your support, in the future you could be carrying every route description you’ll ever need on one small device in your shirt pocket! (If you are worried about taking your expensive smartphone on to the crags, perhaps consider picking up a secondhand device on eBay for a few quid.)

Mobile App FAQ Support

Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions about the App and its use. Please make sure to check here before asking for support. We constantly add to this list of FAQs to provide more help so always to a look for new pointers…

  • I can’t find the mobile App on my iPad?
  • The App is tagged as an iPhone only App and therefore doesn't immediately show up as being suitable for iPads or iPods. This is especially the case when searching for the App on an iPad or iPod as the default search results are targeted for that device. So you need to select the iPhone Apps tab. The App will happily run on any iOS device.
  • My Package did not Install
  • Installing a package can sometimes fail because of an internet or server hiccup. Don't panic! Before seeking support please try to Restore your purchases ... go to the Store listing view in the App and tap the Restore option top right. Note, if the package did download but did not complete installing in some way you may need to Uninstall it first from the Packs view. Don't worry about uninstalling stuff, anything you've bought can always be restored in this way at no extra cost. If this process is successful the button next to the package in question should revert to Download. Tap that and following the instructions carefully to try installing again.
