A relatively new and exciting area in the Anti-Atlas with single to multi-pitch climbing on golden quartzite. An adventurous venue requiring experience with trad climbing situations (NOTE: there are no rescue facilities set up here as yet, and climbers need to be self reliant in getting themselves down from the mountains/cliffs). Fairly high mountain terrain (up to 2,400m, with the climbing lying between 1-2,000m) but akin to cragging in the lakes or north wales, with great temperatures at this time of year (‘T’ shirts on the sunny faces and thin fleeces for the shadier cliffs). Easy access with a few minutes to an hour approaches from the road (approach shoes or light walking boots suffice) – Some harsh vegetation about so long trousers useful, though shorts also ok at many of the venues. Sun bloc/hats/shades important.

30 places available on meet only.

Guidebook – Available through www.moroccorock.com - Morocco Rock by Jebel el Kest and Taskra North

Should also be available in the shops from mid October.
