Mont Sainte Victoire Joint FRCC/PCC Meet - 31 Mar - 15 Apr

It has been been pointed out by a fiscally frugal attendee that the campsite is accepting ACSI discount cards. These cards can be obtained on the web, ACSI.eu A subscription of about 9 euro gets a card. Full details on their website. For some bookings the discount can be worthwhile for long stays. The cards are accepted over most of europe. They do not work in high season.

This meet will be based on the camp site at Beaurecueil, east of Aix en Provence. The info web site is campingsaintevictoire.com . We have been to the site in 2006 and the owners remember us.(favourably)

They have asked if all going on the meet could book in advance, specially those rich enough to rent the fixed accommodation on site.
Those camping should also inform the site of their attendance. The site owners indicated that those camping will be in an area just adjacent to the main camping plots so we are all together. It is important that you mention the FRCC meet when booking and on arrival.

The start date for the meet is 31st March 2012, and will officially run for two weeks, tho the site is open before the start of the meet.

The Climbing, there are a great number of individual buttresses on the Mont Sainte Victoire. All tastes are catered for, from single pitch sports, to multi pitch trad.
Gear depends on how bold you are, a single 70m rope will do for most routes, but twin ropes can make getting off some buttresses less exciting.
Other activities popular are cycling, walking, and for off days? painting has been a worthwhile pastime.
The coast of the Calanques is not too far for a day visit.

There are flights to nearby airports, Nimes, Marseille, Montpellier, Beziers, and Carcassonne are all within 1/2 day drive.
