Jim Curran

We are sad to report that Jim Curran, member since 1977, died on the 5th April following a long illness. A great climber, artist, writer, film maker.

We offer our sympathy to his daughters Gemma and Becky, family and friends.

The arrangements for Jim Curran’s funeral have been announced. It will take place at the Grenoside Crematorium (5 Skew Hill Lane, S35 8RZ) in Sheffield on Monday 25th April at 11.45.

Peace Funerals, the funeral directors have told me that there are two charities that Jim’s daughters would like donations to be made to rather than sending flowers. McMillan Nurses or St Luke’s Hospice.

The funeral is taking place at 11:45 in the North Chapel with seating for about 100. There will be outside speakers and a covered area as they are expecting more than can be accommodated inside. Plenty of parking at the crematorium.
