Dr Tony Jones

It is with regret that we report the death on Friday 6th May of our long-standing member Dr Tony Jones who joined the CC in 1965. He was a Founder Member of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team and was its leader for many years, contributing much to improvements in mountain first aid. He served the CC as Helyg Custodian for over twenty years.

We offer our condolences to his family and friends.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 26th May at Bangor Cathedral at 10:30. This will be followed by Private Cremation at Bangor Crematorium at 12:00–family flowers only please.

All are invited to attend after the service at the Siabod Café in Capel Curig.

Any contributions or donations to Gareth Williams Undertaker. These will form part of a larger donation to the Nepalese ‘Reach out for Nepal’ charity to reconstruct a local school which was completely destroyed during the recent earthquake.
