Donation from the late Bill Briggs

Following the sad death of one of our long-standing members, Bill Briggs, in March, I was contacted by Estelle, his widow, who said that his friends were organising a collection which would be split between the CC and the FRCC, of which he was also a member.

I have received cheques from the funeral directors for a total of £326. There are no specific conditions attached to the donation, but in an email, Estelle said she believed Bill would have liked the money to be used towards the huts upkeep, as Bill enjoyed staying in the huts.

We are very grateful for this legacy and rhe HMSC will discuss and agree a suitable purchase for one on the huts. We will inform the club later.
