Easter Meet - tarragona - Siurana, Arboli, Mont-Ral.
Date: Monday 10th April 2017 to Sunday 23rd April 2017Venue: Tarragona, Spain
dates now settled around 10th to 23rd, although obviously there's room for flexibility around this- not everyone will stay the entire period, and some may arrive early or stay on later. Easter in the Catalonian climbing paradise of Siurana! All welcome (young and old) , Focus is a climbing trip with plenty for lower grade climbers (ie. up to 6b sport), and the guidebooks have been pored over to confirm there are enough starred routes to keep lower grade climbers occupied for a busy holiday. However those who know Siurana will immediately realise there no shortage of routes (coughs to indicate understatement)in the higher grades (if anyone wants to repeat Chris Sharma's or Adam Ondra's routes feel free) people are staying at http://www.campingsiurana.com/ cheapest flights at Vueling *Climbing at Siruna (http://www.rockfax.com/databases/results_crag.html?id=116 Mont-ral (http://www.rockfax.com/databases/results_crag.html?id=113 ) and Arboli (http://www.rockfax.com/databases/results_crag.html?id=114 , http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=1727 ). Tarragona climbs is currently out of print but probably still some copies knocking around, or do some scrounging off other cc members Plenty of accommodation options at this stage … * http://www.campingsiurana.com/ mobil homes which have 2 rooms one with double bed and the other 3 individual beds, price 65 € night (with 10 % discount if we book a couple +). Walk to crags at Siruana * Villas in Cornudella de Montsant. Possible to get an airBnB place for 15+ for about £350 a week ! About 5 – 20km to crags. * Best airport to fly in to is Barcelona. Drive to location is about 2 hours
