2017 Annual General Meeting/Dinner - Weekend

Date: Saturday 18th February 2017 to Sunday 19th February 2017
Venue: Hilton Double Tree, Dronfield By-pass, Sheffield
Time: AGM will commence at 4:00pm and the Dinner at 7:30pm.
Cost: £27 per person

Dinner cost is £27 per person - The club will put some wine on the table and then guests are responsible for their own buying.

The Hilton Double Tree Hotel on the southern edge of Sheffield, handy for the Peak - about 15 minutes to Burbage and Froggatt, maybe 20 to Stanage and Curbar. Similar to the Bob Downes Hut. Sheffield has all the usual facilities, world class bouldering indoors at the Climbing Works (10 to 20 mins depending on traffic), Awesome Walls 20/30 mins and the Foundry a similar time. There are also shops and museums and stuff....

  • Friday evening - Quiz with Ian Smith - Quiz will take place at the Hilton at 7:30 on the Friday night
  • Saturday - Climbing - local members can recommend - Colin Densem has some hidden gems.   • 1930 Dinner with Guest Speaker Al Phizacklea co-author of the FRCC "Nowt but a Fleein' thing" - A History of Climbing on Scafell
  • Sunday - Climbing - as per Saturday crags and walls.
