New Members Meet - The Peak
Date: Friday 10th October 2014 to Sunday 12th October 2014Venue: Downes, Froggatt, Peak District
A fun and relaxed meet particularly aimed at people who have joined the climbers club in the last couple of years or so, to help get to know other people in the club. You don't need a partner in advance - it will be pretty much mix and match depending on what sort of grades you want to climb and where you want to go, and once I know who is coming I will sort things out so everyone has someone to climb with. Mail me if interested!!! The nearby climbing is mostly single pitch gritstone, it is a ten minute walk from the hut to Froggatt with Curbar just round the corner, and other classic gritstone crags a short drive away, or if you want to do some multipitch there are classic peak limestone venues such High Tor available within a short drive. More guides than you can shake a stick at so I won't list them here At the last meet we had a group meal on the Saturday evening it might be fun (and sociable) if we did this again, with everyone contributing an item.
