Bryan Grinyer

It is with great sadness that we report that CC member Bryan Grinyer died on Monday 18th December after struggling for a year with cancer. We offer our condolences to his wife Lin, his loving family and many friends.

For a group of older CC and London Mountaineering Club members Bryan has been an inspiring leader. He organised regular trips to the Welsh, Lakes and Scottish mountains together with in most years a trip to the Alps. In his 80s he was rock climbing and scaling peaks in the UK and the Alps.

His leadership also extended into his community around Manningtree in Essex where he was involved with two charities. He was a lay preacher and leader of his local Methodist chapel and played guitar and sung.

A true giant of a man – we will all miss him.
