We are sorry to announce that Alison Shawcross passed away on April 5th. We offer our sincere condolences to her parents, family and friends. She has been a member of the club since 1996. Below is a message from her mother together with the funeral arrangements. A full obituary will be included in the 2014 Journal.
I am sorry to have to contact you about this but our daughter, Alison Shawcross, died last Saturday. She was a member of the Climbers’ Club and the Pinnacle Club. The news may have spread a little but in case anyone is in contact I have attached the details of the funeral (below) which will be in the local paper.
If anyone from the Club wants to come they are most welcome. We would be delighted for them to attend what we hope will be a celebration of her life.

Announcement and Funeral Arrangements
Passed away suddenly but peacefully at home in Guisborough on 5th April 2014 aged 44 years.
Dearly loved daughter of Pam and Peter, much loved sister of James, very dear sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and godmother.
The funeral service will be held in St Nicholas Parish Church, Guisborough on Wednesday 16th April at 12 noon prior to private cremation.
Relatives and friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please.
There will be a collection plate at the church for donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Macmillan Cancer Support and Mind.
She was very generous, talented lady with many varied skills. Please remember her with affection, especially this spring time, as she loved her garden and all outdoor activities.
